From a photo of a scuff to a booked job

Customers want a price before they’ll book. The Smart App makes that quick for them and for you.

  • A “Get a price” page to link to from your own website. Customers send up to five photos and can tick items from your price list.
  • Requests land on your Quotes page, with the photos, and if they gave an email address they get an automatic reply in your colours.
  • Email a price. The customer accepts it online and it becomes a job ready to book, and they can tell you which days suit.
  • Quote on the road. When a neighbour asks about their bumper, the technician can quote from the phone with photos, even with no signal.
Before the day

Booked so the repair can actually happen

The office asks the questions that decide whether a paint repair can be done on the drive.

Power and space

Is there electricity, and room on the drive for the repair and the van, with no height limits in the way?

Key and area

Will the car key be there, is the repair area clean, and has the customer agreed the type of repair?

Every “no” flagged

On the office jobs board and on the technician’s phone, so it’s sorted before anyone sets off.

Your own checks

Change the list to suit the way you work, up to 20 checks.

Finished, photographed and signed

Your technician leaves with the paperwork done and proof of the work.

  • A Before and After photo for each repair, shown to the customer when they sign.
  • Colour or finish not quite right? The customer can accept the repair with conditions, with the reason on the signed satisfaction form.
  • Bumper needs replacing? Mark it as can’t be repaired, with the reason, and it isn’t charged. If you have your own bodyshop, send the work there.
  • Extra scuffs found on site sent to the office with a photo, and added once they’re authorised, or booked as a new job if the customer has already signed.

FAQ

Questions from scratch and bumper repairers

Can customers send photos of the damage for a price?

Yes. Switch on the “Get a price” page and link to it from your website. Customers send up to five photos, and the request arrives on your Quotes page for you to price.

Can our technicians quote while they’re out?

Yes, for private and trade customers. The app asks for everything the office needs, with up to 12 photos, and saves it with no signal. If you take their email address, the customer is emailed to say you’ll be in touch.

What if the customer isn’t happy with the colour match?

They can accept the repair with conditions on the satisfaction form, ticking the reason, such as a finish or colour that can’t be matched to the usual standard. You can change the wording and the reasons to suit your work.

Does it work on iPhone?

Not yet. The technician app is for Android phones. The office website works on any computer, tablet or phone.
